Emotions Painting by Melanie Alcantara Correia - Fine Art America

This art by Melanie Alcantara was uploaded to the Pixels.com website on January 6, 2013. Her reason behind this painting is that it depicts a range of emotion that a person feels at any given moment. The location where Melanie Alcantara painted this is unknown.

When it comes to art that I think shows the true human is the painting Emotions by Melanie Alcantara. The art shows how we can go from happy to sad in a moments notice. We are happy when everything is going good. The second emotion that we tend to do is irritation. The third emotion that this art depict is sadness. I feel this one is the one that we hate to feel. I have felt this way in the past two weeks because i had to put one of my pets to sleep. The fourth and final one is Angry. We tend to sometimes get angry at the most stupid reasons. We get angry when a friend doesn't call us back after we call them. We are human beings that have a great range of emotion daily. We could be happy in the morning then in the afternoon we could be sad or angry based on how our day went. I feel that holding emotions in will lead us to not be happy with ourselves and really angry at others.

  1. This piece of art shows some of the emotions that we go through on a daily basis. I feel that this is only a glimpse of all the emotions we feel as humans. I like how the artist used different colors for each facial expression. The color represents the emotions well. Pink a happy color, green with envy, blue makes you feel sadness, and red with anger.

  2. This is a powerful piece. The use of color to express the mood compliments the facial expressions. The interlinked sets of eyes are a great pattern and a reminder that all emotions are intertwined within the same being. I personally love this piece but I do not think I would have a print in my home, it does bring me a little sadness. I'm so sorry to hear about your pet.
